MY Story
My name is Trace Leapley. I was born and raised in Johnson County Indiana. I have always desired to create things, whether is was art projects in school, logos for the marching band, and even building things in Boy Scouts. This desire for effective and innovative work led me to become a graphic designer. I first started designing at Central 9 Career Center in Greenwood, IN. During my two years there I worked with many professional clients and did lots of real world projects like branding an architecture business, helping design professional brand posters, and by starting the first full-on live stream/ AV department C9 has ever seen! I then attended Ivy Tech in Columbus, IN where I began to hone my craft. During my time there I landed an internship at the library, designing advertisements for their events! I graduated there with an Associate's degree in Visual Communications, then I decided to transfer to IU Indianapolis. After graduating Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in Media, Arts, and Science with a focus in video production and a minor in Graphic Design from Herron School of Art, I began working with the IU School of Medicine as their Multimedia Specialist, helping them to create videos. livestream events, create content for their Social Media, and develop their website.
